I don't have enough time under the belt yet, but I think that getting rid of Flip4Mac and instead using VLC for WMV files may have cured my sporadic core shutdown problems.

I was at the point where wmv files were almost instantly stuttering. Yesterday I ran through about 10 short wmv files on vlc and not even a hiccup.

Can anyone else relate to this experience or want to try?

Interesting if true. It seems that Flash and WMV are the Macs biggest weak points these days. Then again, just before I got my first Mac you couldn't even *play* WMV files on a Mac!

Where there's porn, there's a way. Porn always finds a way. :D

I used VLC before Flip4, still get some probs with VLC though when starting it up.

Sometimes it just seems to crash and I need to do a force quit ;)
