I reformatted my bootcamp partition, and now, I can't seem to get VMware fusion to work anymore. Firstly, I can't delete the old machine; but when I try to start it, it says I can't find a few files. Secondly, when I try to "import" the new bootcamp partition, it tells me that there are "insufficient permissions to import boot camp partition". Any ideas? Thanks a lot

I'd suggest reinstalling VMware Fusion. It's probably just confused, because the state it expects files to be in isn't what it's finding. A reinstall will cure this. You will NOT lose your virtual machines if you reinstall.

Actually that probably won't work. I had this issue after reinstalling WinXP in BootCamp. This is how I fixed the problem (was posted on VMWare forum and maybe here):
You need to go find the VMWare folder in <home>->Library->Application Support. There should be a folder named BootCamp in it. Delete the contents of that folder, then open Fusion. Start the BootCamp VM and Fusion should set up the VM to boot the new BootCamp partition.

That worked for me!!! Cheers! :D
