Vmware Fusion 2 Beta 2 & Vista 64 = Slow?

i know this isn't the official vmware forum but i thought we can discuss these things here too.

I have Beta2 running with Vista64 and it seems really sluggish. Running Xp64 on Beta1 was really fast & snappy.

Now i doubt Beta2 got worse compared to Beta1 since it seems they made even more improvements.

Can it be it's Vista? I didn't install Sp1 yet, is it that maybe?

And yes i did install vmware tools.

Running it on both, Macbook Pro and Mac Pro with same effects.

Any ideas?

Just downloaded Beta 2 also, like the new improvements that they have made on (allocate 4 processors and change disc size). Haven't noticed any slowdowns on my end.

I use the beta for both XP SP3 and Kubuntu and both are faster under beta 2 than beta 1. I think it's most likely your Vista that's playing up. Have you installed the latest VMWare Tools?

Is your XP SP3 able to use 4 processors? I allocated 4 on my but Windows only is able to see 2.

No, but that might be because I'm running it on a MBP. You'll have to ask a MP owner
