Hi guys

I'm looking for a bit of advice regards VMWare fusion. I'm running V1.1.3 and would like to share the virtual machine that I have created between the two user profiles I have on OS X 10.5.4

Obviously this would negate the need for 2 separate virtual machines and twice the maintenance.

Is there a way to do this?

Many thanks

why not store the VM in a common directory of of root, like /VMWare, instead of /user/Documents/Virtual Machines

That way when you open VMWare you can open /VMWare/virtmachinefilename.ext ..

You can post it in /Users/Shared.

However if one person has the VM open and on and then you do a fast user switching to the other user it won't work. Vmware fusion would have to be totally off when the other user goes to acccess it so that you don't run into any file locking problems.

Thanks guys.

I thought I could do that, however not sure there was an 'open' existing vmware fusion virtual machine in vmware fusion.

Will check it when I get home tonight.

thanks

Thanks guys

Sorted it. Had a permissions issue with the VMWare file, but sorted that.

Thanks again.
