I have 5.1 MP with 32 GB RAM. I am running Win 7 64bit under Fusion. Wanted to increase RAM allocation in VM settings, but it does not allow more than 8 GB. Any suggestions / experience in running VM under Fusion with more than 8 GB allocated?
Thank you.

Thank you codymac, also for the KB. It seems I would need to go with Bootcamp...

NP. You might be able to google a bit and see what luck people are having with hacking the vmx to support more memory. I've done some storage hacking but never looked into memory hacking under Fusion - not sure if it can be done.

At least if you're stuck with Bootcamp, you can run your Bootcamp under Fusion for the times you need to hop into Windows and do something that won't require that much memory. I worked this way for a long time before going fully virtualized. The biggest challenge was backups (so I just copied important files to OSX and let Time Machine grab them).

I believe Fusion 4 was under beta this summer - rumors were that it would release right around the time Lion did. Bated breath...
