You can't really run any serious games (esp like GTA4) inside VMWare.

You will have to install windows in Bootcamp.

GTA IV will barely run natively on that Mac. There's not a chance in the world that it will run at all within VMware. Run the Boot Camp assistant and install Windows XP on your Mac's hard drive. Then install GTA IV within the native Windows environment. GTA will probably take some tweaking to get it to run OK since it has absurd system requirements, but it will definitely run.
