Hi! Hope someone can help.
I have a Mac Pro with XP installed via Boot Camp on an extra HDD so it is not on the Mac OS X boot HDD.
I currently have Parallels running perfectly off my Boot Camp partition. At first Parallels would also not recognise the Boot Camp as XP was installed on a "non-standard" install (ie. not on the boot HDD).
However, after modifying the Disk 0:0 image = Boot Camp string in the .pvs file Parallels has no problems running off Boot Camp and it runs smoothly and with no problems.
However, I would like to test out VMware as it apparently recognises more than one CPU (unlike Parallels?).
Problem is the Boot Camp partition does not appear in the Virutal Machine Library so cannot be used so necessitating an additional install of XP. (One too many for me.)
Any ideas as to a work-around like I did to get Parallels working?
Thanks and apologies for the long-winded post!!
