Hi All,

Got a question for everyone. I'm currently running vmware fusion (the beta), and I have a bunch of older games installed:

BG 1/2
Planescape
Icewind Dale 1/2

My question is this, currently I'm running fusion with an XP install, 1gig of ram, and 1 vcpu. Should I dedicate more memory to the vm? Or would that bog the host system to much.

The only reason I'm asking is because I noticed sluggish performance in Icewind Dale. So I wondered if perhaps I needed more ram dedicated to the machine.

Thanks all!

What are the specs of your machine, we could do with some more information. Its not going to hurt having more ram allocated but it might harm your osx install.

VM ware is not very good at playing games.

Thankyou, I would allocate some more RAM to VMware. I have 4gb of RAM also and have 2gb allocated to windows and 2 to OSX. It should help the gameplay a little.
