Hello,

I am trying to get my osx server installed w/ vmware. I go through the setup, load the DMG etc, hit go then it boots up to the apple logo, sits there and processes for a few mins, then the apple logo changes to a circle w/ a line through it, and just sits there... I can't seem to get it past there. Does anyone ahve any suggestions?

I have a 2010 mp i5 2.4ghz w/ 4gig ram, running Snow Leopard 10.6.6. I was trying to install Snow Leopard Server 10.6 w/ vmware fusion 3.

THanks for the help

Yes you can.

This is VMFusion 3 running on an XServe running 10.6.5 Server, with 10.5.4 Server running in a virtual machine.

VirtualBox

@Glial

I am virtualizing Snow Leopard server on top of Oracle Solaris using VirtualBox. Using Apple hardware of course. VirtualBox does not bypass any of Apple's hw sanity checks.
