I asked this a while ago and there was no solution. Wondering if there is a solution now.

Is there a way to remote control, view, and manage an iPad? For example, with VNC or a similar system?

I want to get an iPad Pro for an elderly grandparent. In case they mess something up, accidentally move an email, accidentally rename a contact, I need to be able to remote in to help them out.

Currently on their Windows7 machine, I run a tightVNC server which I can connect to easily and fix whatever is needed. I am hoping I can do something similar on an iPad. Surely this need isn't unique.

Any advice?

Thanks. Seems decent, about a third of the way there, but not quite. I didn't know about this. The user to to initiate the connection, and it doesn't allow remote control, only remote viewing. And it seems pretty costly.
I was under the assumption that it did allow remote control and it's always been free for personal use.
