I'm trying to get my macbook screen on the AppleTV. Has anybody made a program or written a tutorial on how to do this?

It'd be awesome to have your keyboard and mouse in your lap and your television be the screen.

Better yet, has anybody written an application to extend an Apple's desktop onto the AppleTV?

How about just using a mini DVI to HDMI cable?

EDIT: Sorry, if its a new MB i.e. mini display port (not DVI) then you might struggle. I've got an older MB and keep forgetting the new ones have the mini display port.

@OP: I've never heard of such a thing.
@MacBoobsPro: I'm almost certain that someone has manufactured a miniDP -> HDMI cable at this point. Otherwise miniDP -> DVI and DVI -> HDMI will do.

It was possible in the older ATV firmware, but not with the new ones yet. I could get the screen, but couldn't get mouse/keyboard functionality.

To be honest I havent looked myself but I know there was no miniDP to HDMI for a while after the new Macs were released, whether thats changed now I dont know.
