Hi.
This is probably a repost but after browsing for ages i couldn't´t find anything.

The thing is, why is my apple watch so sporadic in what data that shows/ends up in the health app?
Take the Vo2 for example, i´m running outdoors quite often, but only got two readings?
I got a half marathon (my first) this saturday, and I want everything to work.

i usually run with a wahoo tickr puls belt, but this shouldn't effect it?

I would imagine your heart rate has to reach a certain level before the Watch can calculate VO2 max. How far/fast are you running?

8km in 40min. Or 3km just under 14 min.

This one for example... didnt record it.

Vo2 max is not calculated when using an external HRM.

Wow... that is... dissapointing. When running in norway, your skin gets cold and the Applewatch keep falling out :-( external hrm is essential.

Is there any way around this?

what if ai pair the HRM to the phone and use the watch on the workout? wil it get summed up in the activity app or health app?

Doubtful, but I haven't pursued it any further than figuring out it doesn't work.

Only thing you can do is cover the watch with clothing such as wrist warmers or a long sleeve with thumb cutout and running gloves. This will make it hard to use the watch display during runs but is the only work around that I know. Winter running is some sort of a material battle.
