Voice blanks/delays in 2.2

I sometimes receive voice blanks

Like 3-7 secs of blank period where I can't hear the other person talking...but that person can keep hearing me say "hello?"

Do you guys have this problem?

sorry but no, what sort of service is your phone showing when this happens

nothing is wrong....full 3G signal strength, no wifi interference (I use the N network for Wifi)
the thing is, if I redial the same number, then there will be no problem at all...
