If you hold (press) home button than shows voice control. I don't use Siri and I is disabled. If you mean Siri, yes, in Settings. I don't know other feature called Voice Control.
I believe you can disable it from the lock screen but that's about it. You might want to check the restrictions section of settings to see if there might be anything there in relation to it all.If you hold (press) home button than shows voice control. I don't use Siri and I is disabled.
Are you holding down the home button for some reason when unlocking? It seems to disable voice control you need to ENABLE siri, which is a huge drain on my battery. Any workarounds? Voice control is beeping nearly every time I try to unlock my phone.
Why? Because, IMO, everything what is running in the background drain battery.unfortunately the only way to actually achieve what you want is to have siri ON and then in siri settings, disable "allow access on lock screen".
now neither siri nor voice control will turn on when you hold down the home button on the lock screen
(obviously siri will activate if you hold down home button once you're already in your phone but why would you do that, right?)
Something like that isn't running until you use it and should really only run while you are using it.Why? Because, IMO, everything what is running in the background drain battery.

Silly paranoia about Siri draining the battery aside, this is not the case.
Disable Siri on the lock screen (why would ANYONE with a brain want that enabled anyway?), but allow Siri otherwise. Now, press and hold the home button from the lock screen. If TouchID is enabled, the phone will wake, the phone will unlock, and Siri will activate.
Really? Plenty of people use Siri while the phone is locked to make calls, read and send messages, check their calendar, create reminders, etc., etc., etc.Silly paranoia about Siri draining the battery aside, this is not the case.
