The new MacBook Air series (13 and 15 inch) is advertised to have Voice Isolation and Wide Spectrum microphone modes and Enhanced voice clarity in video calls.

This is confusing because the M2 series of the Macbook Air, as well as the M2 and M3 Pro series have had the Voice Isolation and Wide Spectrum microphone modes available for ages.

Is Apple referring to something beyond just having these modes available? Like the MacBook Air M3's microphones are specifically tuned for better Voice Isolation?

Here's a video comparing the microphone quality between the M3 Air and M3 Pro.

Is it me, or does the microphone on the MacBook Air sound better than the "Studio quality" microphone on the MacBook Pro?
