Voice memo app issue

Hi, I use the Voice Memo app a lot to record lectures, meetings etc. However, if it very frustrating because every time I get a call or a notification of some kind, the recording stops at that point. I couldn’t find anything in the settings or any solution that could stop this from happening.

Does anyone know how to stop it from working whenever a call or a notification comes up? If not is there an alternative app that anybody else knows that will do the same thing but does not have this issue, so that it won’t stop when you get a call or a notification?
