Hello,

I recently got a new mac and went from MacOS 10.13 to MacOS 12. In the process, my Voice Memos moved out of iTunes to their own dedicated app.

Now. I still have my old Voice Memos playlist in Music (with the old voice memos previously recorded), but all the new voice memos I record end un in the Voice Memos app.

Can I bring the voice memos back into the Music app like it was back when it was iTunes?

Thanks.

Yes, but they've even added the hassle that I can't copy them directly from voice memos to Music. I have to copy them to Finder, then copy them to Music.

And the cherry on top? I can't select more than one at a time!

Yay! Thanks Apple!

It's none of my business, but why do you need them all strung together in a playlist in the Music app? Do you like to listen to yourself a lot?? 😃

Haha! I don't like to listen to myself. But I'm a teacher and voice memos is an app I've been using for years now to make notes. I then uploaded them to iTunes and placed them in a series of playlists for when I'd have time to go through them. And so I have a long list of playlists of different subjects for my classes.

In any case. I'll probably learn to work with the new much-less-useful app eventually. Just don't see the point of having a distinct app given that the voice memo files are just audio files that iTunes/Music already handled.

Ah. That makes sense. It's always interesting to learn how different people use their computers and applications. Thanks for sharing!
