Yes, assuming you have a jailbroken phone, there is an app under Installer called Voice Notes. I just installed it and it works fine.

anyone have anything else that records directly to .mp3 for easy email/updating to certain sites like tumblr. I see iphone recorder does this, but not sure it's worth the $20, maybe ten, but $20 is not worth it for random moblogging...

you can just email the voice notes to yourself and convert them to an MP3 on your computer.
