I finally ported my old number over from Verizon, and closed my Verizon account. The porting process took maybe 10 minutes, and seemed to go off without a hitch. Except I was informed that my voicemail seems to be broken. I called to check myself, and apparently AT&Ts voicemail system doesn't recognize my ported number as a valid mailbox number.

Has anyone else had this problem? I'll call Customer Service as soon as they open, but I'm wondering if this is common when it comes to porting over phone numbers.

Thanks :)

This didn't happen to me when I ported over. It may have something to do with visual voicemail (which uses a different switch from the voicemail everyone else gets).

It may very well be. Currently on hold while my CSR checks things out on her end.
