My sister and I both got iPhones today, and I set up my voicemail and showed her how to do it about an hour after I did mine. We both could not press the voicemail button, it would give no response, sometimes it would light up but nothing would happen. I tested that area of the screen and it is not broken. I then tried mine, and it does not work now either. Is this happening to anyone else?

wait more than 13 minutes before demanding a response

but yes, mine works fine, although it dials the voicemail, rather than getting VV

Happening to me too. I'm AT&T. I just called AT&T and they tried to help but couldn't. Referred me to Apple where I call the 1-800 number get a recording after telling the AVR what I wanted that says "No agents available, please call back later." *sigh*

UPDATE: I fixed it. Here's what I did:

1) Dialed my cell phone number from my cell phone. I immediately connected to voicemail.
2) Followed prompts to change password(I believe it was option 4, then option 1, option 1), just listen to the prompts and you will be ok.
3) Once my password was changed, I disconnected the call and then went into the Phone app and hit Voicemail. This time, instead of doing nothing, the voicemail screen popped up and said it had the wrong password and asked for the new password.
4) I entered the new password and voila, all my voicemails showed up and everything was back to normal.
