Hi all,

Embarassingly, I just noticed this yesterday. When I retrieve my voicemail it doesn't prompt me for a password before I can hear my messages.

-Is this normal?

-Is it because I have the phone itself (and yes, I know the voicemail password is different than the password to lock out your phone) password protected?

Any help would be appreciated!

call your voicemail, press and hold 1 and listen to the prompt voice to setup a password ;)

You are usually only asked a password if you are attempting to access it from another phone. Your phone is preprogrammed to a special number that it calls to get your voicemail, so you don't need a password. If using VV, the password is stored in the phone and transmitted to get the listing of messages.

OK, I was used to my last phone's system which required a password whether I called it from another phone or from the cell phone itself.

Thanks!
