Im sure im one of many that has an iPad stuck the other side of the pond. My cousin is holding off posting it until the risk of it getting lost in the post dies down!

Hopefully this can be the place to share news on who is letting stuff ship etc.

Ive read on BBC that Royal Mail are sending and receiving stuff through Spain.

UPS have put a notice on their website:

Service Update

Following the volcanic eruptions in Iceland, many European countries have closed their airspace with resulting disruption to UPS flights. Shipments to, from and within Europe will likely experience delays. Please note that our regular collection operations for all UPS services will still take place today. UPS is closely monitoring the situation, which is changing from one hour to the next, and we are making adjustments to our network as necessary to best serve our customers.

UPS service guarantees do not apply when transportation networks are disrupted by extraordinary circumstances such as these.

For the latest tracking information on all UPS shipments, please use the tracking tool on UPS.com.

If anyone has any news on who is still able to get mail into the country please let everyone know!

I'm waiting for an iPad too. Mine was despatched from Chicago on Friday with FedEx and it's now just sitting waiting in Memphis. FedEx are saying pretty much the same as UPS. I'm just hoping they can somehow get the package to a southern European airport (Spain perhaps) and then send it the rest of the way by surface.

Otherwise we could be in for a long, and hugely frustrating, wait. :(

I'm in the same boat. I am waiting for USPS to deliver but their website doesn't even reference the fact and the tracking service has been down all day. Can't believe I finally bit the bullet and ordered one only to have a volcano thwart my plans  My tracking stated that it had left the US on Friday but god knows where it is now.

A friend was actually due to hand deliver mine this weekend but when it became clear his trip was going to be impossible he handed it over to FedEx.

I was so close to having it this weekend. Now who knows when I'l see it.

^&@^£%$!!!!!

Volcano Shipping? I'll bet Europe would love to ship iceland's volcano to hawaii or even the moon. ;)

My iPad was Fedexed to on Friday but was returned to the sender because of some issue with the commercial invoice. Now it will be sent again on Monday from the USA (to Spain, where I live). What will its fate be? Hopefully Fedex will reroute packages through Madrid...
