I am wondering if anyone is seeing the minimized volume control on their iPad Pro 12.9? I'm still getting the real estate hog version which displays in the middle of the screen.

The real estate hog version is still everywhere. I still have it on my 6+. At least you have a big screen so it's less of an issue. I've given up on Apple ever fixing this.

For example when viewing the embedded YT videos on the MacRumors front page the volume control is indeed minimized. A very welcome addition indeed. This is on an iPhone 7.

You’re right. Seems to only work for Apple’s own video player UI. Anywhere else will still give you the old volume. I don’t get why they half-assed it like that.

Could you give me an example where it doesn't work (yet)? Granted, it's not many places, but everywhere I've tried it has worked so far so I'm interested.

Any game, Amazon, Netflix, HBO Now, etc. Again, it's anywhere that doesn't use Apple's own video player UI, but those are places I especially care about.
