The volume buttons on my new iPhone 8 control the ringer volume when the phone is locked. While pressing the volume buttons, on the lock screen, the phone displayed the ringer level. Now, for some reason, it no longer displays the ringer level while on the lock screen.

Does anyone have any info as to why the ringer love is no longer displayed while on the lock screen? Did I inadvertently change a setting? Is there a "button press" shortcut that enables/disables this functionality?

- I tried toggling the change with volume button setting, but this did not help.
- I did a soft reset (Momentarily press volume up, then volume down, then press and hold the power button until Apple logo appears).

I cant change ringer volume from the lock screen on my 8 plus. Not sure if I ever remember being able to
