Volume not loud when listening to AirPods

I don't know if it's just me but I have an XS Max and currently use Apple Music

I find the volume too low when listening to music using the AirPods or EarPods. I have to put the volume on max most of the time especially when listening to older songs.

I don't think its the fine or airpods because I had the same problem with my X.

Is this normal or is this possibly to do with the fact that I am from the UK? I know there is an EU limit to volume loudness however I still have it set at max.

I have the very same issue lately, drives me crazy.
Went back to the EarPods which came with the iPhone: they are LOUD!

I use Apple Music and listening to mainly r&b and hiphop and I find when using the AirPods or EarPods that I have to turn like the music close to max volume.

TBH Apple earphones don't fit me well. I do find that they don't go all the way in and the slip off easily. This is probably why the sound leaks out. I am looking for a better fit wireless earphones that I can use with my xs max
