Volume settings for alerts and clicks? Also, contact duplicated not synced.

I just replaced a 2G with the 3GS, and have seemingly lost the ability to turn down the volume on alerts and clicks, which are annoyingly loud. I looked all over and couldn't find where to do it. Any help?

Also, since syncing my new iPhone, all my contacts are duplicated, the ones from my .mac account, from My Mac. If I click on All Contacts, I get duplicates pooling from the ones on my computer which apparently is syncing, and the ones from my MobileMe account. How do I make them one?
