Volume slider not working on jailbroken iPhone 3Gs 3.1

i don't know whether it is a bug, but the volume slider in the ipod application is not working properly after I upgraded to 3.1 jailbroken firmware on my 3Gs. I slide it to the left and right, but it does not stick and goes back to its original position.
