vpn confused

what's up

I searched through the forum to try and find a simple answer before I posted.


My friend has a small web design business with 2 employees. One is a student ,one is about to go on maternity leave, and my friend travels frequently. She would like to set up something so they can retrieve files remotely.
Nothing fancy.

My research seems to point me towards setting up a VPN which seems way expensive for the needs of 3 people.

Are there other options?

You could possibly try FTP if that will work for your purposes or SSH.

I found PureFTP quite easy to set up (once i sorted out the OSX firewall and the router's firewall to let clients thru...) but there are many others.
