VPN Icon on iPhone 15

I have a VPN on my iPhone 15 & my wife has the same on her iPhone 8+. (Malwarebytes)

Her phone shows a VPN icon on the upper status bar but, mine doesn’t. Can someone explain this?

This is normal. How the icons appear at the top is different between notch/Dynamic Island devices (iPhone X and later) and legacy devices with the rectangular display. On the iPhone 15, you will see the VPN icon when looking at Control Center (swipe down from right side of display).
