I'm currently running 18.2b2 but I think this has been an issue before that?
If I use the VPN slider in SETTINGS to connect to NordVPN while on WiFi, and then use that slider or an automation to disconnect from NordVPN, NordVPN disconnects and the phone disconnects from WiFi. Then 10-20 seconds later, Nord reconnects and WiFi reconnects. When this happens, the VPN slider in SETTINGS goes from OFF to ON by itself.
If I use the button in the NordVPN app to disconnect from Nord, it simply disconnects and WiFi remains connected as expected.
Can anyone shed any light here? Is this a Nord or IOS issue?
EDIT:
I checked the "connect on demand" setting in VPN & Device Management. It was ON so I toggled it OFF. No change.... WiFi still disconnects and the VPN still spontaneously reconnects after it is turned off by the slider in settings or an automation. Also, "autoconnect" is OFF in SETTINGS in the Nord app.
EDIT2:
Turns out that the first time I toggled "connect on demand" OFF, it didn't stick. When VPN operation was unchanged I re-checked and "connect on demand" had reverted to ON. So I toggled it OFF again and this time it stuck. NordVPN no longer reconnects spontaneously and WiFi remains connected. HOWEVER, at some point it got toggled to ON again. I suspect this happens if Nord is disconnected via the slider in SETTINGS vs. the DISCONNECT button in the app?
