I'm connecting to a wireless access point that isn't mine. I'm using a VPN client to connect to my home VPN server. Does anyone know of an app that can tell if indeed all traffic is going through the VPN tunnel and not through the open wireless that isn't mine? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

VPN Traffic Actually Going Through The VPN Tunnel

I'm using Viscosity to connect to my home OpenVPN server. In the "How to fix a DNS leak" section of the provided link, I'm wondering if I can add the following line, block-outside-dns, to the Advanced tab of my saved connection, Extra OpenVPN configuration commands... area of Viscosity? Any ideas if this will work?
