Hi all,

I've been using a gtx 980 4gb card with dual 4K monitors and have been experiencing mission control lag especially when my VRAM is maxed out (via iStat Menus).

My question is, if I get another graphics card with more VRAM, such as a 580 with 8gb, will my lag go away?

Has anyone had smooth mission control on dual 4K screens? If so what video card?

Thanks all for any help.

It’s hard to believe the 980 is not powerful enough to drive the OS UI.

1) which OS you are running now? Is it possible to upgrade to the latest one?

2) is there any difference if you alter this setting?

Hey thanks for your reply.

1. Running 10.12.6. Could upgrade to 10.13 but holding off for now

2. That setting has been disabled already.

For some reason, when I have multiple windows open (more than 10) activating mission control on dual 4K monitors makes it stutter and the animation is not smooth. When I only use one monitor the issue goes away. That's why I suspected vram.
[doublepost=1511436009][/doublepost]I am running in 1440p HIDPI mode by the way. So it renders at higher than 4k.

Perhaps hidpi is the issue
