Hello,

I may buy a relatively cheap W10 pc dedicated to running one or two
radio programs that require W10.

Have tried doing it under Parallels, but all sorts of problems.

Question: If I do get a W10 pc, is it possible to port over somehow it's output,
and see it on my iMac display ? If so, how please ? And, how to do the switching ?

Would sure prefer to do it this way rather than have to have two monitors.

Much thanks,
Bob

Hi,

Yes, but it is so, so slow in switching back and forth.
Takes all the fun out of it.

And, you can go out for a cup of coffee, while MS WORD and Excel are going thru
their startup routine; that beachball seems to spin "forever".

Regards,
Bob

You did not mention what model of iMac you have, but you cannot use the 5K iMac as an external monitor and I believe the same applies to the 4K model. The 5K's custom timing controller does not allow for Target Display Mode like on the 2012 and earlier models.

I have a 27" iMac for 2015 and also need to run a few simple windows apps. I too got tired of emulation so I picked up a slightly used Dell laptop. I my situation it works great.
