Wacom Bamboo graphic Pen + Aperture 3 problem

Hi

Im new to photo editing and I am currently using Aperture 3 to do some basic editing. I purchased the Bamboo Pen tablet to make the job easier. The Pen works - it moves and the right-button works, but when I want to amend a picture - like use dodge or sharpen - it doesn't seem to recognise it.
Can anyone help?

Did you install the software that comes with it? There's a System Pref. app that comes with it that I think you need in order for it to work in programs like Aperture or Photoshop.

Yeh Ive done all that - its really annoying because it is the only aspect that doesnt function
