wacom intros pen and touch

i'm a developer and i use wacom bamboo pen and touch, not much as an artist but because i prefer at mouse

on my bamboo i never really like touch feature because it doesn't really seems to get correct input often get flip gesture even if i did not do, or it doesn't really scroll correct it king get stuck

may be it recognize my hand as a finger, not sure

would like to know if new intros is better and if i should upgrade

I've only used a friends Bamboo for about 5 minutes and I didn't have any issues with it. That being said, I've been an Intuos user for about, has it been 7 years now! wow. I currently have an Intuos Pro Medium. The one before it was an Intuos3 12x19 and it was just TOO BIG. I really like the Intuos and would certainly recommend trying it out.

actually i'm referring at intros entry level, not sure if new intuos pen & touch is just a bamboo evolution

do you use your intros pro as pouch input? do you think is almost like a trackpad?

I'm planning on buying one of the new small Intuos Touch tablets here soon. From what I know of it, the pen input is about what you'd expect. Excellent latency, 1024 levels of pressure, solid feel...it's the same as a high end Bamboo. But I hear the touch is a little flaky. It's decent enough to get you by, but don't expect it to work as well as a Magic Trackpad.

that is my complain about my bamboo, is not as smith as trackpad
if in intuos pen & touch it did not change i don't really need an upgrade

not sure if in intros pro touch is much better, i found a review where wacom person says they change touch chip for a better performance

I looked around for some reviews to see how much they've improved touch input over the previous generation, but I've only been able to find one so far. That one review did say it's been greatly improved over the previous generation, but it's not one of the usual tech sites I hit up, so I can't say how accurate the review is.

I'll say this. It seems that the touch controls are good enough to work well when you're using the pen, so you don't have to leap back and forth between the stylus and trackpad to two finger scroll and pinch-to-zoom. Even if it's not as accurate as the Magic Trackpad, it might still be useful for when you're using the tablet directly, and thus might be worth the money.

Intuos!
i have had the same intuos for about 8 years!
it works great! i also have used the brand new intuos. I have used a bamboo briefly and I remember it being pretty good.
I used to do a lot of digital paintings ALOT

so that was great for that

I do some developing now and it works for that too. The upgrade would be alot in the pressure sensitivity. so I'm not sure if that matters for development.

But if you are going to get into graphics definitely recommended.
