Any place but here or there....
Hi everyone,

After my iPad Pro began exhibiting touch disease like symptoms recently and I had to DFU a fourth time, I am looking for a replacement tablet to draw on. As much as my iPad Pro has been helpful for school, and fun for art, the glitches and bugs are making it unusable.

My budget is $300 and I am considering a Wacom tablet.

Could any artists recommend a particular Wacom and stylus? Discuss what the learning curve is like.

If I knew my way around Windows I would get a Surface but I just couldn’t wrap my brain around that OS for home use.

Thanks everyone,
Kim

I would check out the reviews done by Lisa on mobiletechreview I find she has a very balanced approach to tech and is likely to point you in the right direction

Do you have the Apple pencil? If yes then you could look into getting the regular iPad that now has pencil support especially since some of the Wacom devices are $429 compared to $329 for the iPad with no learning curve.

Thanks for responding; but I have seen mention that Procreate does not play well with 2GB of RAM, besides you cannot pair one Apple pencil with more than one device.

If I get a replacement for school, then the 2018 iPad is fine, but for art nada. There are some Wacom tablets within the $200-300 range.
