Wait - interactive media widget only Apple Music?

I was so excited to add a Spotify Widget, especially on my Mac, only to find out there's no play/pause button. So, that's only exclusive to Apple Music or what? Or does Spotify not care enough to make one? I'm really disappointed.

Definitely just Spotify not adding the feature. Pocketcasts, a podcaster player, had day 1 support for play/pause on even their smallest widget.
