Hey, guys. I've been reading sites like this for a few months now, in order to get a feel for the Mac world, and now I'm pretty positive I would like to make the switch from Windows to a Mac.

I will be graduating college in April 2008, and was thinking I would update sometime over next summer, as my Dell can probably last until then (barring the blue screen of death continues to threaten me only).

Through my readings of these sometimes really in-depth threads, I have been reading about the MacBook possibly being updated next spring/summer. Does anyone have any predictions about what this update will entail? You can keep your responses as plain as you like; I won't understand a lot of numbers and letters all smashed together.

Thanks so much!

Who knows what's going to come out next summer? For all we know the bump last week might be it for a while, and then again there might me a move to LED screens and flash hard drives by next summer.

The advice that is usually given on here is that if you need it now, get it now. If you need it next summer, then wait until next summer.

You're doing the right thing by keeping you eye on this forum and staying on top of what's going on.

Cheers.

I think flash drives possibly blu ray will be optional extras on the next macbook pro update

wtih the macbook it usually gets the same processor and speed that the macbook pro gets about 6 to 8 months later providing it dont make the machine to hot

so after macbook pro is updated next time look for the macbook to get similar specs later but i guess without the dedicated graphics card

lookign at it now apart from screen size and graphics card and a extra usb slot and firewire 800 the specs are pretty similar now
