When an iPhone is being set up and it says "Waiting for Activation" does it do that through the cell network? I'm out of the country and therefor have no service.
I had my 3GS jailbroken with blackra1n and unlocked with blacksn0w, but my WiFi wasn't working and the GPS didn't seem to be either, so I tried to "reset network setting" and then the phone wouldn't start up. It would sit on the startup apple logo for a few minutes and then turn off and go back to the apple logo endlessly. I put it into DFU and restored to the original (non-jailbroken) 3.1.2. Now it says it's waiting for activation and I'm wondering if it will be able to activate if I'm out of the AT&T network.
Any thoughts?
