Anybody else waiting for IPad mini? I have always preferred the smaller size if they release one with no home button ect will be more inclined to buy that but does anybody here have a small iPad plus a large one? Do you use both?

I wasn't a fan of the iPad Mini.... until I bought a 12.9 iPad Pro. THEN I saw the value in having an ultra-portable iPad. The Mini 4 has been terrific for me and although it is fairly old, it still performs well... though I've kept mine at iOS 10.x because I have some non-replaceable 32 bit apps (iMAME4All in particular).
Currently I use both a 2018 iPad and Mini 4. I have less of a need for the Mini 4 because of the 2018 iPad, but should Apple produce an updated Mini with Pencil support, I can see myself buying it to replace both.

I believe we will see a mini refresh in the spring, but i doubt it will get the pro features. It might just be a refresh with bumped specs and maybe pencil support if i had to guess. But I would hope they adopted the new design in a mini pro.
Right now in 50/50 on buying one of the new pro's announced today. I will see them in person and go from there. If I do decide to buy one and I like the mini more, Ill just sell it off and buy the new mini when that time comes

I have first gen 12.9. (just ordered the new one). My wife has the 10.5. Kid #1 has the 2018 iPad. Kid #2 has my old iPad mini 3. Kid #3 has my old iPad mini 1. My old mini's are now basic youtube devices for the kids. I used to use the mini 3 for reading eBooks but after updating it to iOS 12 it became so slow and buggy that kid 2 inherited it for youtube. I hear the mini 4 runs ok on iOS 12?? There's no way I'm spending money on a device as old as the mini 4 unless I find a great deal on a used one. I have a feeling that those waiting on the mini 5 will be waiting a very long time.
