Waiting list email, what time does it come?

I am on the waiting list for apple to hold a 32gb wifi+3g when my turn is ready. I have gotten the "We'll be in touch soon about your iPad" email (Monday) and was wondering what time exactly is the email is sent out. Does it come right when the store opens? Or as soon as they get the shipment? Do they get the shipments right when they open? Or possibly before they open?

What time did you get your email telling you that you have 24 hours to pick up your reserved iPad?
 
I'm in the Los Angeles area. I added myself to a list on the 4th, and another on the 5th. Today I got both notices. One around 9:0am, the other at 2:42pm.
 
I think it is location dependant...
Florida Mall told me yesterday - they often don't get their daily shipment (if indeed they receive any) until mid to late morning.

I ordered yesterday morning in person....
received my "we'll be in touch soon" quite quickly...
and hopefully will be able to tell you what time I receive a confirmation email (ideally) tomorrow or Friday!
 
When I was on the list I was calling the store everyday asking if they had gotten the shipment for that day.
I happened to call the day I got my iPad. I called at 10:30am. They had already received the shipment for that day so I thought I was out of luck but at about 4:30pm same day i got the email.
Point being, Im pretty sure there is some "processing or sorting" that goes on after the shipment arrives. The store actually notifies you I think. It's not automated directly from Apple if that makes sense..
If your store already got the shipment for the day I would say you still have a chance. I got my email 6 hours after the store received the shipment.

EDIT: Just checked my saved emails. Reservation was placed on 4/22 6:12pm
Received pick up email on 4/27 3:55pm
 
Thanks for the info everyone, I was wondering about this as well. Waiting to receive this magical email.
 
10:56 AM yesterday eastern time for me. A pleasant surprise since I only put myself on the list the day before.
 
I'm in northern California (Santa Rosa). I called the Apple Store yesterday day at 9:18 am to order a second 64GB 3g iPad. I received an email at 11:07 am saying that it was in, picked it up at noon.

I ordered the 1st iPad on May 6 and received it may 10. Wife did want one until she played with mine.
