Hey guys.

I ordered my iMac last Sunday and it was supposed to ship by December 8th. It didn't. I e-mailed Apple about it and my shipping by date changed from the 8th to the 14th. Obviously, i'm feeling bummed and even more impatient.

Has anyone had trouble w/ Apple extending the dates of their order?

Any ideas on how to battle the WAIT? haha. I'm sorry, but i'm so ready for my iMac to get here.

(Checks e-mail)

Nope. Nothing from Apple yet.

-Jacob.

I don't think there is anything you can do. It's Holiday season, and they are probably selling a lot of them. Maybe even more than expected.

Good Luck
-and you'll be very happy once you get it. :)

Trust me, it's worth the wait!

I was having the same problem as you, but I didn't buy it. I thought about the length it would take to ship, and clicked pick up in store and got it Fri night at Compusa.

Which one are you getting ? I got the 1.9...

Hey,

I ordered the 17 inch iMac G5 with 512 MB Ram. I'm not a gamer, video editor, or anything so the 17 inch is perfect for me. I'm your basic e-mail, IM, research kinda computer user.

On a side note, have any of you used the Apple USB modem before? your thoughts? I live in rural North Carolina and, where I am exactly, I can't get broadband (if I lived about two or three miles further towards town, different story probaly). I ordered the modem because, obviously, the iMac doesn't ship with an internal dial-up inside.

I think we have the same one. Did you get the one with iSight or the one without that's 2 ghz ?

The 17 will be perfect if not more than enough for you. So far it does email, photoshop, im, net, torrents, and iTunes open at the same time with no lag for me :D.
