Have any of you guys bought a MacBook through an educational reseller?

I ordered mine through the UBC bookstore, and I've found that they take an awfully long time to get the order into the store. I placed my order two mondays back (that's 17 July 2006), and till now, it's not arrived yet. I hear from them something about Apple waiting till there are enough orders to be shipped to the store before they actually move the goods in, BUT I've also heard that there are MANY orders for the MacBooks.

Can anybody estimate how long more I'll be waiting? I can't wait... It's been too long... I want it for my Philo classes that start August 1... (I know likely it won't be ready, but I'm still hoping...)

I can only base my experiences on events here in the UK but when I ordered my iBook originally from an Education Seller it took a while. Of course, I later purchased an iPod directly from a store over here and just had to flash my uni card to get the discounted rate straight away and walk out with my new 'pod!

I think it varies obviously. We all know that if you order from Apple it's gonna take a while[I/] before you get your new goods!

Hang on in there and ring them to apply pressure.

Incidentally, you'll have to write your notes longhand and then copy them up later!!
