I'm in the same situation. When the MacBook was released I read the comments here from people who purchased it and was tempted to buy one straight off. I've been hanging out for the MBP update to the Merom chip, but thought maybe.... just maybe the MB will serve my purpose.
But as I keep reading here and analysing the MB I've decided the MBP is definitely for me and besides Adobe isn't updating until next year so why get it now anyway? The way I see it, if I wait for the major softwares to update to Intel such as Adobe and then buy my Intel Mac I'll probably get a pretty good revision of it.
MacBook is one of the best portables ever. You can't go wrong.
