Hi,
Just bought a new MacBook Pro (mid 2010). Also an iMac 2010. I would like to be able to wake these up over the internet to remote control them.
For both I have a host name (dyndns) which allows me to bypass the changing IP I get from my ISP. Both also have a static private IP (10.0.0.x) and I know their Airport MAC addresses. Finally they have in System Profiler the "wake on wireless supported option).
So it seems I have all the conditions needed as said in an APple Support doc related to "wake on wireless".
However I can't seem to be able to do it: tried websites, apps (wakeup, wake550, wol).
Has anyone ever succeeded in doing so?
If needed I have a permanent access to a little Mini Server at home. I could for example connect to that one to be able to wake the MBP also at home, on same WiFi network.
Thanks!
