Hello forum,

first of all, I would like to apologize if I do not express myself clearly or explain my problem clearly, English is not my mother tongue. I hope to find a solution here.

Initial situation: iMac Pro - macOS Mojave (latest version) > Wake an Lan Fritzbox7490 (os latest version)

Regarding the problem:
The iMac (firewall is deactivated) should be woken up from hibernation (in German "Ruhezustand" -> sleepmode?!) using Wake on Lan via Fritzbox. After that, Steam (iMac) should be accessed via SteamLink (iPad) (which works perfect with a Windows laptop). The required settings in the "Energy saving" menu have been made, see Image_1

I access the Fritzbox via the iPad (home network) using the "My Fitzbox" app.

If the iMac is connected to the Fritzbox via Ethernet cable, the Fritzbox's Wake on Lan function can be managed relatively easily via the Fritzbox user interface > "Start computer".

However, after the start command is given, the screen does not turn on and the SteamLink app cannot reach the iMac either (iMac offline).

At first I thought Wake on Lan wasn't working. But We can rule out input errors for IP, MAC and broadcast addresses, the Fitzbox automatically reads out all the required addresses for Wake on Lan and saves them in a profile.
You only need to give the command > "Start computer" in this profile. Actually pretty cool.

Troubleshooting:

#1 Tried some Wake on Lan apps from the app store with no success.

#2 pmset -g showing me the "hibernation mode", see Image_2. The Mac is not in a deep sleep, should actually work.

#3 pmset -g log shows me what happens during hibernation. The magic package was sent at 12:30 (+ a few seconds):

With my layman's understanding, I would say that the iMac received the package and wakes up, but is probably not awake enough...

DarkWake DarkWake from Normal Sleep [CDNPB] due to EC.WoL XGBE/Network: Using AC (Charge:0%) 38 secs

What this is...

Idle sleep preventers: IODisplayWrangler

I don't know either...

In this "dark wake" state, the iMac does NOT appear to start the display, and the use of the SteamLink app does not seem to have any effect on waking up the iMac properly. Does anyone have an idea what I could do?
