The "wake on network request" box is checked on my Mac but whenever my Mac sleeps and I want to use air video or logmein ignition from my iPad it won't let me use it because the computer sleeping and wont wake up. Is there a way to fix this? Please, please help me :(

You have to use a program to send your iMac a "magic packet" to wake it up. Normal programs like AirVideo won't be able to wake it. Search for Wake On LAN. And the iMac must be wired, unless you have a newer one with a late 2009 or newer Airport Extreme.

My iMac is connected wireless to my airport extreme, i got my airport extreme like 1 month ago, so its the most recent one. and my Mac i bought like 1 year ago.

Is Wake on LAN an app?

It should work with your Extreme and iMac.
Under System Preferences - Airport - Advanced Settings, make sure the network you are using with your iPhone is the first in the list.

However, a few weeks ago, wireless wake on lan stopped working for me. I don't know if it has something to do with a software update or something. Uptil now, I didn't succeed in getting it working again. Wireless wake on lan did work for a few months.
