Wake up on LAN not working when screen sharing with an another imac

Hi,

I have an older iMac 2011 running Sierra 10.12.6.
I have enabled screen sharing on this Mac and also enabled "wake for network access."

Everything works great when the iMac is awake.

However, once the iMac goes to sleep, it does not wake up when I try to do the screen sharing from the newer iMac.
I have to walk over to the other Mac and press the keyboard to wake it up, then the screen sharing works again.

Anyone know what setting I might be missing?
