Just curious if anyone else is experiencing the same. Usually Mac OS is ok but when from Windows it takes some time and sometimes doesn't even wake up and I have to wait for at least 3 minutes. Has anyone experienced this? My spec written in my signature. Thanks.

Never, but My windows is on a nvme SSD on a pcie slot

Yeah I think I found out the issue. It was because of the LG Monitor I have in my signature. Recent all of those LG monitors that have 4K with various features such as HDMI 2.1, DCP, etc. are the reason why they take forever to boot up. I changed to other monitor (Alienware 4K QD-OLED) and have not encountered that issue. Or within the LG setting you have to turn off something (which I forgot at the moment) but that has reduced some lag in turning on as well. Funny thing is this doesn't actually happen in Mac OS, only Windows 11.

The role of garbage firmware in displays destabilising computers is, I suspect, dramatically under-appreciated.

I'm procrastinating on some inline dongles from NTI that prevent a display communicating stuff like sleep / wake status etc, and hold the EDID etc, so my machine will always think the displays are on, and connected.

the dual W6800X Duo machine I have is sometimes quite lazy to wake up the display (Dell 4K on USB-C cable).

Never really found the cause of it.
