When iOS 18 came out, I swapped the Lock Screen’s camera shortcut with the Wallet. Some time in the last few weeks, the shortcut has gone missing. It’s no longer on the Lock Screen and I can’t find it in the list of options to re-add it.

I’m unsure if this is due to some security setting I may have altered, or if Apple withdrew the shortcut in a recent update. Anyone know?

Hi there.

Have you inadvertently opted to “require” the app behind Face/Touch ID?

Just wondering as I tried it myself - present when I added to my Lock Screen but as soon as it is “required” it vanishes from the Lock Screen.

Serious question but is there any reason you don't just use the power button double tap?

Bingo! This was it. Thanks! I'd locked down Wallet just to stop others even opening it while the phone's unlocked. A little frustrating that doing so altogether removes the Wallet Lock Screen option from what's available, rather than displaying a message that it can't be added and why. Never mind, though, at least I've got it back now. Thank you.
